This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Promethean Board I’m requesting will make a world of difference in my classroom by creating a more equitable and engaging learning environment! Currently, my students rely on a small TV screen that limits visibility and interaction, especially for those seated farther away. With a Promethean Board, I can deliver lessons that are dynamic and most importantly, accessible for all students. They’ll be able to interact directly with the screen during activities, collaborate in real-time, and engage with multimedia resources that make learning more meaningful. This tool will also help me tailor lessons to meet their diverse needs by incorporating interactive visuals, manipulatives, and digital tools that promote hands-on learning.

My goal for this project is to bridge the technology gap that my students face and provide them with resources that support their curiosity and potential.

This board will allow me to bring abstract concepts to life, provide instant feedback, and create an inclusive space where all students feel empowered to participate.

My students are truly special —

I teach at a Title 1 school in the heart of the Mission District, a vibrant community primarily composed of BIPOC families living below the poverty line. Despite the challenges they face outside the classroom, my students are built on resilience. They come to school eager to learn and full of curiosity. They are engaged scholars who deserve access to the tools that will help them thrive.
