My Project
My students are passionate, resilient young leaders who inspire me every day. Many of them are part of the My Brother’s Keeper after-school club, where they focus on mentorship, academic success, and community leadership. What makes them truly special is their ability to thrive despite obstacles—many come from underserved backgrounds, yet they show up with a desire to grow, help others, and build a better future. They take pride in their work and in supporting one another, and they deserve the tools to keep moving forward.
This project will provide essential resources that directly support their academic and personal growth.
The snacks and bottled water will ensure students are physically prepared to stay after school, focused, and energized. Printer ink and classroom supplies will help us bring lessons to life through hands-on activities and creative assignments. The Cricut board will allow students to design custom materials for classroom projects, school events, and their mentorship program—fostering both creativity and confidence. These tools will make learning more engaging, meaningful, and personal.
My goal is to create a space where students feel valued, supported, and equipped to lead—in the classroom, the club, and beyond. With your help, we can fuel their creativity, meet their basic needs, and give them a space where their ideas and leadership can shine.
