Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, creative, and eager to explore the world through learning. In our third-grade classroom, we’re working hard every day to build literacy skills, problem-solve, and become independent learners. An iPad Air would be a game-changer in giving my students access to engaging educational tools that support reading, writing, and critical thinking.
We are asking for one iPad Air to use during literacy centers, research projects, digital storytelling, and differentiated learning activities.
This device will help students access apps that reinforce phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary in an interactive way.
Many of my students thrive with visual and interactive tools. An iPad Air will allow them to use apps like Epic!, Lexia, Book Creator, and Khan Academy Kids to reinforce foundational reading and math skills at their own pace. It will also help us document learning through photos and videos, support struggling readers with text-to-speech options, and allow for more student voice and choice in how they show what they know.
My classroom is full of joyful learners who bring a wide range of strengths and needs. They come from diverse backgrounds, and many do not have access to technology at home. Despite challenges, they show up every day ready to grow. This iPad will provide them with the tools they need to succeed in a 21st-century classroom.
