Empowering Young Ladies to Imagine, Invent, and Inspire

Help me give my students, especially my girls, access to Study.com to empower young ladies to become inventors and pioneers in an ever changing world.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Kellie Blankenship's classroom raised $655

This project is fully funded

My Students

More than half of my students are on an Individualized Education Plan, but we do not let our diagnosis define us. We overcome challenges together and appreciate uniqueness in every person. In all areas, it is our goal to gear up for success. Students learn goal setting, evaluating their own success, assessing their personal growth, and learning and reflecting on objectives and how to make new goals. Students are set up for success not only in the classroom but for life.

My students are engaged in STEM to master state standards, build social skills, and build awareness of careers.

My Project

To provide consistent education at home or at school, my students, especially my girls, will thrive with Study.com. My male students have no problem getting their hands on electronics, microscopes, or rockets. My female students are more reluctant to dive into this field. With Study.com, girls can watch short films online and relate every day activities to engineering. My girls can watch a short video on Study.com about fluid friction, and every time they brush their teeth or pour syrup on their breakfast, they can remember fluid friction. Girls can watch objects within their comfort level on buoyant force and then gradually increase their level of excitement to create their own floating boat or their own flotation device. Young ladies can explore college level courses in engineering and physics with no pressure. I can see my female students excelling in these college courses and then transferring credits to the State University of New York, Texas A&M, or many other colleges.

A one-year subscription to Study.com will empower young ladies to become inventors, pioneers in the world of engineering, and gain a head start in college credit in the fields of engineering, science, and math.
