My Project

Bringing Computer Science to Life for Middle School Students

As a middle school computer science teacher, I strive to create an engaging, hands-on environment where students can explore, invent, and problem-solve using real-world STEM tools.

This project includes resources that make learning interactive, fun, and meaningful for all learners.

The JBL Pulse 5 Speaker will bring energy to our classroom with music and light during collaborative work and student showcases. Wiggle Bots Kits allow students to build simple robots, learning about circuits, motion, and engineering design through play. The Makey Makey STEM Pack turns everyday objects into interactive computer inputs, helping students understand how coding connects to the real world.

To further spark imagination, the Lux Blox Classroom Set provides hands-on ways to model code and logic structures using 3D builds. The STEAM Chasers: We Made That book set introduces students to diverse role models in STEM, helping them see themselves as future innovators. The Coding and Logic Workbook offers fun unplugged activities that teach sequencing and problem-solving skills.

Finally, the bulk set of pencils ensures all students have the basic tools to sketch out ideas, solve logic problems, or write code drafts, because even in a tech classroom, pencils still matter.

Together, these tools will help create a classroom that’s vibrant, creative, and inclusive. With your support, my students will be able to build, code, and imagine a brighter future in computer science.
