This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To better serve the multilingual students in my special education caseload, I’m continuing my journey to earn a Bilingual Special Education endorsement. This DonorsChoose project will fund my second course: Instructional Methods for English Language Learners.

As an aspiring Dual Language Special Education teacher, this coursework is crucial to my career advancement to ensure I have the education I need to provide the best to my students.

Imagine a classroom where every child—regardless of their language background—feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. As an early childhood educator working with a diverse group of students, many of whom are English language learners, I am committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where language is not a barrier but a bridge.

To achieve this, I’m seeking funding to enroll in TESOL 570: Curriculum and Assessment for Multilingual Learners through the University of Phoenix. This graduate-level course will equip me with the tools to design effective curriculum and assessments tailored specifically to multilingual students, helping them succeed academically and socially.
