it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Project Description:
My students are bright, eager, and resilient English language learners in grades K–5.
Every day, they come to my classroom ready to work hard, build their vocabulary, and grow in confidence. Many of them are new to the country or learning English as a second language. They thrive when given interactive, hands-on tools that bring learning to life.
That’s why I'm asking for your support to provide whiteboards, dry-erase markers, engaging visuals, and small student incentives. These resources will help make our language learning sessions more dynamic, supportive, and effective.
Whiteboards and markers will allow students to actively participate by practicing vocabulary, sentence structures, and phonics in real-time. Visuals like sound walls and picture cards will support their comprehension and vocabulary development. And small incentives—stickers, poppers, or little prizes—will keep students motivated and excited about their progress.
Every item in this project is aimed at helping my students feel confident and successful as they learn English. With your help, I can create a space where mistakes are part of the journey and every effort is celebrated.
