My Project
The KEVA planks and magnetic tiles will provide my students with hands-on, interactive tools to explore engineering and architectural concepts, fostering their creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. These materials will encourage collaboration and innovative thinking as students design and build various structures, enhancing their understanding of geometry, physics, and spatial reasoning.
My goals for this project are to create a dynamic STEM lab that inspires curiosity and innovation, providing students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences that develop critical STEM skills.
I aim to encourage collaborative learning and teamwork through building and design projects, cultivate a love for STEM subjects by making learning fun and accessible, and equip all students from general education to special education students with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in future STEM endeavors.
My students are incredibly resilient, creative, and eager to learn, despite the challenges they face as part of a Title I school in the Bronx. They bring diverse perspectives and a wealth of untapped potential to the classroom. My prek-grade 5 students come to school each day with enthusiasm, creativity, and a thirst for knowledge, despite the obstacles they may face outside the classroom.
Their enthusiasm for discovery and their determination to overcome obstacles make them exceptional learners who deserve every opportunity to succeed and shine. For many of our students, school is not just a place of learning; it is a sanctuary where their dreams are nurtured, and their potential is recognized. These students are not just our future engineers and architects but also the future leaders and innovators of our community.
