This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My young scholars attend a Title 1 School where the majority of students come from low-economic backgrounds. These young scholars receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of the students enter my classroom with poor math, writing, and social skills. One of my goals is for students to obtain art tools to foster their creativity. This will help students build confidence and nurture artistic talents.

Presently, I am using a small circle table as a drying station.

The limited space is prohibiting other students to create art pieces. The drying rack allows up to ten pieces of art to dry. This will allow more students to paint and create their unique pieces of art. Not only this, the drying rack doesn't take a lot of space in the classroom.

In addition, obtaining Crayola colored pencils will be a bonus. I expose my young scholars with different types of art tools. These colored pencils will support students during art drawing. Your generosity will help young scholars obtain art tools that are essential in order to support their creativity.
