Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello, I am looking for support in developing communication modalities for my students. I have multiple students who are nonspeaking or need additional communication support, especially when they are feeling overwhelmed. These students require AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) in order to communicate their wants and needs.
For these students, AAC gives them the opportunity to connect with their peers and actually participate in and access their education.
These items will make it possible for me to create core boards they can use throughout the day and incorporate AAC in their classroom routines. It will also give me the opportunity to find alternative methods of communication for my medically complex students or my students with motor or visual impairments.
