Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Become a part of empowering the voices of children with speech and language delays by donating a new laptop. My students would benefit from the resources technology has to offer in this new technology age. During sessions my students have a range of skills they need to build on ranging from growing their comprehension skills, decoding, speech sound production, sentence formation, and vocabulary building.
The majority of my caseload is bilingual children who do not often have access to many resources and a new laptop would allow me to create materials that are unique to my diverse students.
A new laptop offers the opportunity to create materials that are culturally and linguistically relevant to my students. This new laptop would be used for creating materials, accessing e-book libraries, viewing videos with students, and creating Alternative Augmentative Communication materials for my students.
