My Project
Books that represent the diverse ways students communicate are essential for creating an inclusive learning environment. Many non-speaking students often struggle to see themselves reflected in the stories they read, as they do not always have access to characters who share their communication experiences. These carefully selected books highlight individuals who cannot use spoken language, whether some or all of the time, and showcase the various methods they use to communicate. This collection empowers students to see themselves represented, fostering a sense of belonging and demonstrating the value of all forms of communication.
