My classroom rarely resembles a typical 5th grade classroom, it functions more like a research laboratory than a classroom. We are a self-contained gifted class. Children are busily learning and working on their projects; researching, developing, testing hypothesis, designing, and producing their unique products. In our classroom you will find a young novelist writing her next chapter, a humanitarian activist creating pillow/bags to aid the homeless, entrepreneurs developing their profitable sales plan, and a young engineer developing an advanced prosthetic arm… our class is quite unique in its facilitation of intellectual diversity.
Each student uses their natural talents and interests to extend their knowledge and skills while offering their talents to the world.
As a teacher, I guide while my students lead and innovate, allowing their creativity and curiosity to set new paradigms for their own advancement.

My Project
The children in my class use their natural talents, gifts, and interests to develop various meaningful projects throughout the year. Technology is essential in ensuring their success. These Chrome Books will directly assist the children in completing their projects while quenching their thirst for knowledge.
Our class is a self-contained gifted class which means students must have additional enrichment in order to flourish.
Gifted children require tremendous depth of content, and need to engage with challenging material coming from a variety of media sources. The children unleash their learning ability and extend their depth of learning through project based learning and project development.
