My Students
I have the pleasure of teaching 15 wonderful 4th graders this year! Our motto: we put our hearts in all that we do. This is seen through staff members, students, and families. I have a diverse group of students with unique backgrounds and needs.
Even though we all have different backgrounds, we all have high expectations for ourselves.
My students want to do the best in all that they do. They know that by doing this, their futures will be bright and strong. I am honored to give them the tools and resources they need to meet these expectations!
My Project
I have always been a big supporter of using technology in the classroom. My school district is working hard to make sure that all students have access to technology. I am currently sharing 25 Chromebooks with my 3 teammates. This means that technology is not always available.
Several of my students have shown growth in their learning through the use of adaptive technology such as iPads.
I want to make sure that this technology is readily available for my students so that they can be successful in all subjects. My students will use the iPads to access audiobooks during reading, text prediction, and text-to-speech programs while writing, and online assignments with audio in subjects such as math and social studies. It is my job to provide all of my students the tools that they need in order to learn and grow to their full potential. By having these tools in my classroom all day, I know that my students will show an increase in their learning.
