This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are high energy and hopeful students. They are very hands -learners and have dreams of achieving different things in life. They live in a low income community and attend a Title I school. All the students are bilingual speaking languages from English, Spanish, and Arabic. Although they face constant hardships at home on a daily basis, they see school as a place that will take them far and wide to conquer their dreams. These are my dreamers.
My Project
If funded my project would make a huge difference in applied learning for my students. An interactive whiteboard would be used in many different areas and subjects. Math for example is a subject I try to make very engaging and hands-on. When doing problems on the board this would make an excellent tool in supporting problem solving using common core. This tool would also be useful in doing ELA and Science. The students would get the opportunity to use this technology and empower their own learning. This is something that would make a difference create and instant impact on them.
