Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project aims to support high school students with Down syndrome, Autism, and Intellectual Disabilities (IND) by providing them with a dedicated technology lab. The lab will offer access to specialized applications that assist in core subject areas like reading and math, as well as support their music programs. These students often remain in high school until the age of 22, and having the right technology is crucial to helping them succeed academically and grow in confidence.
Our classrooms currently face limited resources, making it challenging to offer the full range of tools these students need.
With the addition of laptops, we can provide more personalized learning experiences, tailored to each student’s unique needs. The technology lab will open up new opportunities for engagement, creativity, and learning.
