Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are talented, intelligent, creative, and inventive, but many of them don't believe so. Several of my students have dyslexia, which makes their daily school and overall academic life extremely difficult, especially for those with the most severe forms of dyslexia.
As difficult as it may be, my students work hard to keep up with school work, and never use dyslexia as an excuse to slack off.
They have perseverance and are determined and put their hearts into everything they do. With some accommodations like help from teacher and peers to read their assignments, books, and tests, they always make an effort to get their work done.
These C-Pen readers would give my students with dyslexia the independence that they need to boost their confidence. With the C-Pen Readers, my students would not have to depend on anyone to complete the most basic classroom tasks. Instead of using so much of their energy and time on decoding words, they can focus more on comprehension and completing the assignments independently.
