Empowering Students to Read

My Project

I am a reading specialist, servicing students in 2nd-5th grades, in a Title I public school. My goal is to empower my students to help them better in their learning to read and retain what they have read.

My students are able to earn stickers for each day they come to group and participate.

They are then able to earn prizes for filling up a specified amount of their sticker charts. This truly makes them excited to come to reading group and learn and it takes the fear of reading away and lets them focus on learning.
