This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are eager to learn, but many lack access to books outside the classroom. We are launching a summer and independent reading program to provide engaging books that foster a lifelong love of reading. With your support, we can ensure every student has access to literature that inspires and educates them.

Why This Project Matters:

Reading is the foundation of academic success. Students who engage in independent reading improve their literacy skills, critical thinking, and overall performance. Unfortunately, many of our students may not have access to books at home, making it challenging to continue their reading journey beyond the school year.

By providing a diverse collection of books, we can encourage students to explore new genres, deepen their understanding, and develop strong reading habits. A well-supported program ensures they do not fall behind over the summer and enter the next school year prepared and confident.
