My Project
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted education. To address this challenge, I am launching a project that offers students hands-on learning experiences in traditional Chinese culture, including Chinese New Year celebrations and the preparation of traditional Chinese food. The project's primary goal is to empower students through active engagement with Chinese culture. This initiative holds particular importance for our student body, as 59% of them are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch and will greatly benefit from these experiences
We aim to acquire a laminator, two storage shelfs, electric skillets, mini refrigerator, language translator device, Chinese red Envelopes office chair, tapes, dry eraser (100) for our classroom.
These resources will enable students to immerse themselves in the world of Chinese culture. They will learn not only about Chinese New Year but also gain a profound understanding of Chinese culture.
The language translator device will assist me in communication with non-English-speaking parents during the parent-teacher conference.
Students will use electric skillets to experience a variety of traditional Chinese foods, gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culinary culture
Our classroom storage shelf will provide a dedicated space for materials, ensuring accessibility and organization. This not only enhances the learning experience but also creates a welcoming environment where students feel connected.
We aim to acquire resources to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being, as well as address the impacts of interrupted learning due to COVID-19. These resources will be used directly by students, ensuring a direct benefit to their education and well-being. Additionally, we seek to provide students with hands-on experiences in traditional Chinese culture, such as Chinese New Year celebrations and the preparation of traditional Chinese food. Through these activities, students will not only develop mathematical skills but also gain a profound understanding of Chinese culture
