This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our students come from low-income households and face challenges accessing basic hygiene supplies, including laundry detergent. Clean clothes play an important role in students’ confidence, self-esteem, and overall success.

This project aims to support our students by providing them with the necessary supplies to keep their clothes fresh and clean.

However, this project goes beyond just providing detergent. We want our students to take ownership of their hygiene and develop valuable life skills in the process. As part of this initiative, students will have the opportunity to assist in organizing, distributing, and managing the detergent supplies. They’ll learn essential skills like responsibility, time management, and community service, as they help peers in need. Your donation will help us purchase laundry detergent that will be distributed to students and families in need. Additionally, students will assist in coordinating the use and distribution of the detergent, giving them an opportunity to develop important life and leadership skills. By ensuring students have access to clean clothes, we are supporting their health, self-confidence, and academic success. A fresh start in clean clothes can change how a student feels, and this project helps us achieve that while encouraging a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
