This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Empowering Students Through Art is transformative when art-making combines drawing and painting to culminate in a culturally relevant project that integrates social commentary. Drawing and Painting will be used to develop works of art for an authentic audience.

This proposal will Empower Students Through Art in which students support each other and their community through the creation of drawings and watercolor paintings that have an emotional impact on our school community.

Drawing and painting empowers students to address non-violence through art-making. The purpose of this project is to create works of art with an authentic audience that is highly visible on campus. The project is focused on teaching collaboration and self-management. We desperately need consumable art materials to support our drawing and paintings to convey messages of social justice and non-violence.
