My students need art supplies such as markers, colored pencils, construction paper, scissors and glue sticks to empower my students with art in math class.
My students learn best with hands-on experiments and first hand looks at things. They have a great enthusiasm for learning and for math and science.
We are from a Title I school.
My students come to school with an eagerness to learn. I want to grow my students curiosity to learn by showing them that learning can be fun. Mrs. Frizzle always said to " take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" and my class does this with hands-on learning and STEM.
My Project
My students need art supplies such as markers, colored pencils, construction paper, scissors and glue sticks to empower my students with art in math class. My students would use these materials for many projects in math. I like to do interactive notebooking in math as a way to give students a hands-on lesson while they learn. With the glue sticks and scissors I would not have to worry about my students whose families cannot afford these items on their own. With the markers, construction paper, and colored pencils students can make colorful graphs, shapes, and math manipulatives to help them with their hands-on learning in all our math lessons.
Donations to this project would improve my classroom greatly by just giving students the opportunity to make colorful hands-on math manipulatives such as line plots, bar graphs, and pie charts.
Donations to this project would change my students' lives because they would not have to worry about not having scissors or glue for their school day.
