This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I humbly request donations to provide our exceptional third-grade ICT students with the basic classroom materials they need to thrive. More than 50% of our incoming students receive free or reduced lunch. This makes it challenging to receive donations from our students and their families. In the pursuit of fostering creativity, adaptability, and inclusivity, I excitedly introduce this initiative that focuses on the holistic development of 3rd-grade special needs and multilingual learners through the transformative power of art and purposeful play. However, to make this a reality, we need your support.
Art and purposeful play are not just activities; they are vital tools for learning and self-expression, especially for special needs students.
These methods enable them to break down barriers, enhance cognitive abilities, and develop social and emotional skills in a supportive environment. Through art, they can communicate their ideas and understandings, boosting their participation and self-confidence. Purposeful play facilitates learning in a relaxed approach, allowing them to grasp complex concepts while having fun.
These materials include a range of items, from art supplies like watercolors, markers, glue sticks, scissors, and crayons, to interactive learning games/manipulatives that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We aim to use the art supplies to create self-portraits, class murals, collages, etc. The ink will be used to print a variety of art activities and models. All of the items will be safely stored in storage bins that are easily accessible to students.
Your donations will have an important impact on these young minds. By contributing to our campaign, you are not only providing basic classroom materials, but you are also investing in their future. You're enabling them to discover their potential, cultivate their talents, and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
