Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These supplies will allow our students to experience hands-on learning that explore the impact of human activity on the environment. Students will laos be able to further explore sustainable practices within our school community. We will use the laptop to incorporate and analyze data collected. Students will investigate local climate issues and be able to present findings to peers and community members.

The MacBook will alllow students to create presentations, collect and store data, and create video or other multimedia presentations.

Water testing kits and hygrometers can be used to test water samples from nearby sources. The results will be collected and used to assess environmental quality over time to promote conservation awareness.

The compost station will allow students to research the stages of composting, while reducing the cafeteria waste on campus. We are hoping that when students understand their environment, they will have a greater appreciation and understanding for supporting planting activities that can increase green spaces for learning and mental well-being.
