My Project
As a 7th Grade English Language Arts teacher, scholar bowl coach, school technology coordinator, and member of the leadership committee, I have the unique opportunity to reach students in a variety of meaningful ways. I am seeking support to provide essential tools that will enhance classroom engagement, foster academic competition, and support student organization.
Here's how each item will make a difference:
Candy (Classroom Incentives): Small rewards go a long way. Candy will be used as positive reinforcement to encourage participation, engagement, and effort in class. These incentives create a fun and motivating atmosphere that supports learning.
Microphone Set (Scholar Bowl Practice): The mic set will transform our scholar bowl practices into realistic mock competitions. Students will gain confidence, practice public speaking, and develop the quick-thinking skills necessary for academic success under pressure. This experience simulates the excitement of actual matches and builds team camaraderie.
Flash Drives (Tech & ELA Integration): Flash drives will provide my students with a reliable way to save, back up, and organize their work. In both ELA and technology lessons, this resource empowers students to take ownership of their learning and prevents them from losing valuable projects due to technical issues.
These tools will help me support my students not only academically, but also socially and emotionally—encouraging teamwork, accountability, and a growth mindset.
