This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are energetic, hard-working young athletes in a high-poverty neighborhood. For many, soccer isn’t just a sport—it’s a source of structure, confidence, and community. Our school has limited funding for extracurriculars, but our players continue to show up with dedication and heart. They deserve gear that reflects their effort.

Organized sports foster resilience, teamwork, and leadership.

With this gear, our team can focus on developing their skills instead of struggling with broken or borrowed equipment. Access to proper gear enhances student safety and reduces exclusion.

This project will provide quality soccer equipment, including balls, cones, water bottles, a storage cart, a storage bag, and pinnies, for our student athletes to practice safely and compete confidently. Through soccer, students not only improve physically but also develop emotional regulation, perseverance, and team empathy.
