Empowering Special Education Students With IPads

My students need an IPad and case in order to enhance their learning experience! Special Education students learn using their senses, therefore having an ipad would benefit them!

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Gardner's classroom raised $809

This project is fully funded

My Students

Special Education students learn in four ways: visual stimulation, tactile learning, auditory learning - with sound and music, and kinesthetically - with movement! We can do so much with an IPad to fulfill these areas. Teaching students to use an IPad will help them succeed in life.

Our classroom is a special education classroom in a small rural area of Missouri.

We love to learn, and love our community. We strive to integrate school and community, and participate in the Special Olympics each year. We are excited to learn and make progress - even one step at a time. Our class is close knit - we celebrate each person's success!

My Project

Special Education students need extra help and support in many different areas. An IPad is an extremely helpful tool - students can communicate with apps, improve speech, learn through reading, learn math facts, be motivated through sensory apps, and so much more! Students can also integrate organization skills, and time management skills using an IPad. If students learn how to use an IPad, they can take this knowledge with them into adulthood and use these tools for the same purposes: to communicate, to organize, to learn, and to train themselves with skills needed. Having an IPad and case in the classroom would impact a student for a lifetime.

Special education students learn in many ways, and need extra help and support.

Whether a student has dyslexia, or an intellectual disability, or whether a student has needs in speech, or with math functions, an IPad always excites a student to learn! The apps available on an IPad integrate nicely into classroom use, and students can take the knowledge they gain with them into adulthood. We can train students to use the IPad now and empower them for the future.
