Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are exceptional learners. They come from all backgrounds and have very different needs. They want to learn and close there gaps, but many of them don’t know how to express their needs yet and tend to get frustrated.

The supplies that I am requesting will help my students deal with their frustrations in an appropriate way, while I try to understand what they are trying to express.

The tent will be the perfect place to go for quiet time. Students will be able to turn on the light projector and hold a waited animal to calm down and feel better. Once they are calm, we will read a social story about the emotion they are feeling. We will talk about it and when they are ready, we will walk them back to class to rejoin their peers.
