My Project

I am dedicated to nurturing a love for reading and empowering our students with strong literacy skills. I recognize the critical role that reading comprehension plays in academic success and lifelong learning. To support our students' development in this area, I am launching a project to acquire engaging and interactive reading comprehension materials.

This project aims to provide students with the tools and resources they need to strengthen their reading comprehension skills, including making inferences, identifying context clues, summarizing text, and understanding main ideas.

Reading Comprehension Games/Cards: Engaging games and card sets focusing on various comprehension skills, including making inferences, identifying context clues, summarizing passages, and discerning main ideas. These resources will make learning fun and interactive for students while reinforcing key comprehension strategies.

Whisper Phones: Individual whisper phones that allow students to privately listen to themselves read aloud, promoting fluency, expression, and auditory processing skills.

Comprehension Cubes: Cubes featuring comprehension question prompts to help students practice critical thinking and analysis while discussing texts in small groups or independently.

Game Buzzers: Interactive game buzzers to add excitement and engagement to comprehension activities, encouraging active participation and rapid response to comprehension questions.

Impact:

By providing students with access to these reading comprehension materials, I aim to foster a deeper understanding of texts, improve critical thinking skills, and enhance overall literacy proficiency. These resources will not only benefit students academically but also instill a lifelong love for reading and learning.
