This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To effectively engage gifted and talented students, it’s essential to provide supplies that facilitate student-led passion projects. These projects empower students to explore their interests deeply, transforming their academic experience from merely meeting expectations into a meaningful pursuit of knowledge. Many gifted students may feel burdened by their label, perceiving it as just additional work, rather than an opportunity for exploration and creativity.

By supplying materials for these projects, we can create an environment where students can pursue higher-level thinking and innovative ideas.

This support is especially crucial for those who may lack the financial resources to explore their passions fully. With the right supplies, students can dive into meaningful work that ignites their curiosity, fosters critical thinking, and cultivates a love for learning. Ultimately, these projects not only enrich their educational experience but also help them see their abilities as a source of inspiration rather than a burden.

We need a hat press and felt for creating felt hats, clippers for cosmetology, a wood-burning pen/wood pieces, a book for creative wood-burning, doll house furniture for interior design, stained glass sheets, a glass cutter, and protective wear for mosaics, and sports balls and goals are for athletic projects (percentage of goals made, shots made, pitching speed).
