My Students
Our district is very small with only two schools in it and our school has approximately nine hundred students total, but we are growing quickly.
We live just a few blocks away from the Pacific coast.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and family structures. They are all full of life and have a huge love of learning! Our students work hard, have huge dreams and deserve an education that not only consists of textbooks, but also technology with hands-on learning, magazines/newspapers and so much more.
My Project
Students no longer should be forced to sit at desks with hard chairs. By being able to have the option to move around the room and choose different types of seating options, students will be able to focus more and in return, do better academically.
Students need to be able to have choice!
Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed.
It will help their physical health, bring comfort to the classroom and community as they work together in small groups. Flexible seating helps make learning fun. The benefits far outweigh any negatives.
