This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our 8th-grade social studies classroom, words are more than just vocabulary—they’re the keys to understanding history, culture, and current events. With your help, we can provide our students with resources that will make a meaningful difference in their learning experience. Dictionaries will be a game-changer, giving students the power to decode complex texts and strengthen their language skills as they explore history. These dictionaries will empower students to look up new terms and understand them in the context of social studies, helping them become independent thinkers and confident communicators.
In addition to dictionaries, we need basic supplies like pencils, highlighters, and paper to support daily learning activities.
Laminating pouches will allow us to create reusable learning materials, while a classroom refrigerator will help ensure students stay energized during long study sessions. By supporting this project, you’re giving our students the tools they need to read, analyze, and discuss history with confidence. Thank you for helping us bring history to life!
