My Project
Battle bots are often the first thing that comes to mind when people hear about teaching robotics and participating in competitions. This project aims to leverage that excitement and enthusiasm. It serves two key purposes. Firstly, it will provide special education students with more opportunities to engage with robotics. These students will use straightforward, easy-to-follow kits designed to simplify the learning process and boost their confidence in building and programming robots. Secondly, it will offer students in the regular robotics program a new and exciting challenge. They will get to work with a different type of robot, broadening their skills and experience in the field of robotics.
This will spark innovation and inclusivity through the exhilarating world of battle bots, where every student gets a chance to build, compete, and grow, through traditional learning barriers.
For instance, beginner-level kits might feature simple designs with pre-programmed controls, while advanced kits could offer more complex building options and customizable programming. This range ensures that all students, regardless of their experience, can participate and learn. Additionally, we are asking for a specialized battle bots arena. This arena will be designed with safety and visibility in mind, allowing students to test their robots in a controlled environment. The arena will also be equipped with features like scoring systems and protective barriers, making the competitions exciting yet safe.
This project is not just about building and battling robots; it's about fostering inclusivity, learning, and growth in our students. By bringing together special education and robotics students, we aim to create a collaborative, supportive environment where every student can shine. Your support in this endeavor will not only bring the thrill of battle bots to our students but will also play a crucial role in their educational and personal development.
