This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I service students who are from low-income families in underserved communities. Though our students don't have much they embodied our core values of "whatever it takes" and "team and family." They work hard each day to exceed their own personal goals.

Our mission is to see our students go to and through college.

Every child comes in every morning with a hunger to learn.

Many of them will be the first to graduate in their families. I am proud to say that I am contributing to that.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My students love and respect my classroom books.

Every step closer to their reading goal is celebrated.

The joy in their faces is priceless every time a new book is introduced. We are excited to use some of these wonderful books during class. We can utilize them as a mentor text to generate writing ideas. These books will definitely be part of our reading club as well. I can just imagine their little faces beaming with excitement when they get to see our new books in our classroom.
