Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students in the Life Skills program face unique challenges that require tailored support to thrive. Many of my students benefit greatly from individualized schedules, visual aids, and icons that help them navigate their daily routines, develop independent life skills, and communicate their needs effectively.
With your generous donation, I will be able to create personalized daily schedules for each student, incorporating icons to guide them through tasks such as washing hands, brushing teeth, or using the restroom with the use of the laminating paper, file folders, alien tape, and Velcro dots.
These visual supports will provide clarity and structure, helping students develop essential self-care routines and build confidence in their ability to complete everyday tasks.
Additionally, the anchor chart paper and scented markers you help provide will allow me to create engaging, hands-on anchor charts that visually reinforce important concepts such as the letter of the week, water and life cycles, and other lessons throughout the school year. These materials will transform my classroom into an interactive, supportive environment where every student can feel empowered to learn and succeed.
