Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are sweet souls who are eager to learn. They come every day ready to absorb the content and have great and memorable experiences in my classroom. We build these memories together. Because these memories have been so good in kindergarten we are looping to first grade! We have a somewhat diverse population classroom, with students from Albania, Brazil, and Guatemala. In our classroom, we utilized African American, Caucasian, Hispanic combined with other heritages to enrich our learning experiences. My students are absolutely AMAZING!
My Project
Applying the different materials requested in this project, I will be able to expend my teaching skills by promoting a variety of STEM and project based learning activities where students will develop better critical thinking skills and master discussions and thinking for themselves. This way I will be able to provide different types of professional development to my colleagues demonstrating how they can use a range of materials to help students expand and reach their learning goals. I will apply differentiated instruction as well as a variety of kagan engagement strategies to motivate students to learn and explore more. In addition, I would be able to support future teachers to gain more experience in how to utilize such materials combining with the right strategies.
