Empowering Kindergarteners with Decodable Books

My Project

As a kindergarten teacher, I have the privilege of guiding my students through their first steps in literacy. One of the most important aspects of early reading development is providing students with texts that match their current skill level. That’s why I’m seeking funding to bring decodable books into our classroom. These books are designed with controlled vocabulary and phonics patterns that help beginning readers confidently decode and understand words.

The decodable books will allow my students to practice phonics skills in context, build fluency, and develop a love for reading.

By having access to these books, my students will be able to experience success as they learn to read, setting the foundation for lifelong literacy.
