Empowering Kindergarten Students Through the Arts!

My students need a paper trimmer to cut construction papers in half, because they can not cut a straight line with scissors.

My Students

My students like to make creative art pieces on different colored construction paper.

My students are 5 and 6 years olds that live in the State of Florida.

They attend a school where at least 80% of them are on free or reduced price lunch. They come from low income families where only one parent is working in the home. Many of them are deprived yet very eager to learn.

My Project

My students will be able to use the paper trimmer instead of a pair of scissors to cut their construction papers in half. The paper trimmer will be used for all different kinds of art activities. We will use the paper trimmer to make Valentine Day pictures, All About Me Pictures, Mother Day pictures and Father Day pictures.
