My Project

As an educator in a rural community, I see firsthand the brilliance, drive, and determination of my students every day. Yet, despite their talent and enthusiasm, many face barriers that prevent them from accessing the same opportunities as their urban and suburban peers—particularly when it comes to STEM education. That’s why I’m deeply committed to expanding access to rigorous STEM learning and helping my students earn college credit while still in high school. My students are eager to dive into hands-on experiments, research, and advanced scientific content. However, one major barrier stands in their way: technology.

To fully participate in this college-credit course, students must be able to complete assignments, conduct research, and submit projects online, that is nearly impossible without an individual laptop.

All my students come from underserved backgrounds and most of them cannot afford reliable devices of their own. Sharing limited school computers or attempting to complete work on phones is not a sustainable solution for a course of this caliber.

Laptops are not just tools—they are lifelines to opportunity. With laptops in the classroom, my students will be able to:

• Access college-level resources, simulations, and digital labs.

• Complete and submit assignments on time through online platforms.

• Collaborate on STEM projects that foster problem-solving and innovation.

• Build digital literacy skills essential for college and career readiness.

Your support can directly change the trajectory of a student’s life. A laptop may seem like a small item, but for these young scholars, it represents access and empowerment. I plan to keep the laptops as a classroom resource.

By donating to this initiative, you are not just giving a device; you are investing in a future biologist, engineer, or medical professional. You are helping students break cycles of poverty, dream bigger, and achieve more.
