Empowering Independence Through a Clean Learning Environment

Help me give my students the gift of a clean and sanitized learning environment!

My Project

In our Title I classroom, we are dedicated to fostering both academic growth and life skills for our special needs students. A crucial aspect of this development is teaching autonomy through daily routines, including maintaining a clean and sanitized learning space. To support this, we are seeking funding for essential cleaning supplies that will not only ensure a healthy environment but also serve as tools for teaching responsibility and self-care.

Our students are vibrant, eager learners who thrive in structured environments.

They benefit immensely from routines that promote independence and self-regulation. By involving them in classroom upkeep, we instill a sense of ownership and pride in their surroundings.

We are requesting cleaning supplies such as disinfectant wipes and sprays, hand sanitizers, paper towels and tissues, trash bags, and cleaning gloves. These items will be integrated into our daily routines, allowing students to participate in cleaning tasks appropriate to their abilities. This hands-on approach reinforces executive functioning skills such as task initiation, organization, and time management.

A clean classroom reduces the spread of germs, leading to fewer absences and a more consistent learning experience. Moreover, involving students in maintaining cleanliness teaches valuable life skills and promotes a sense of community and responsibility.

Your support will have a direct and meaningful impact on our students' health, independence, and overall well-being. By contributing to this project, you're helping to create a nurturing environment where special needs learners can flourish both academically and personally. Thank you for considering our request and for your commitment to education.
