Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a general education teacher with three high needs students, I am deeply invested in providing them with the best learning environment possible. One of the aspects I love most about my students is their unique personalities and the way they approach learning challenges with resilience and determination.
To support them effectively, I have integrated several resources into our classroom that cater to their individual needs.
Weighted animals serve as comforting companions, offering sensory input that aids in their self-regulation during times of stress or anxiety. Fitness trackers not only encourage physical activity but also help them monitor their energy levels and stay focused throughout the day.
Additionally, MP3 players allow them to personalize their learning experience by providing calming music or audio resources to enhance concentration and reduce distractions. These tools are essential for empowering my students with the self-regulation skills they need to succeed both academically and socially.
