My Project

As a first-year teacher, I am dedicated to creating an exceptional learning environment for my students. I've designed a DonorsChoose project with three key components: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) books, around the world crayons and colored pencils, and cleaning supplies, all of which are essential for our classroom's success.

The inclusion of SEL books is vital for my students' emotional development.

As a new teacher, I've realized the importance of equipping students with empathy, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills. These books will help create a classroom where students feel emotionally secure, understood, and empowered to thrive academically and personally.

Crayons and colored pencils are another essential element of our project. They provide students with a creative way to explore and appreciate diversity. These art supplies encourage discussions about inclusivity and promote an atmosphere of acceptance and unity within our classroom.

Lastly, maintaining a clean and safe learning environment is a top priority, especially in current times. Requesting essential cleaning supplies ensures a hygienic space where students can learn without worry, while also promoting responsibility among students.

In conclusion, my first year as a teacher has emphasized the importance of fostering emotional intelligence, celebrating diversity, and ensuring a clean and safe classroom. Your support for this project will make a meaningful impact on the education and well-being of our students.
