This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The iPad I am requesting will make a significant difference in my ESL students’ learning by providing them with essential tools to improve their writing skills. With access to iPads, students can use translation apps, speech-to-text features, and grammar checkers to build confidence in their writing. This device will also allow them to research topics, engage with interactive learning apps, and collaborate on writing assignments in ways that traditional paper-and-pencil methods cannot.
My goal is to help my students develop stronger writing skills by integrating technology into their learning.
I want to provide them with opportunities to express their thoughts more clearly, enhance their vocabulary, and become more independent writers. By using iPads, they will be able to draft, edit, and revise their work more efficiently, making the writing process more engaging and accessible.
My students are hardworking, resilient, and eager to learn despite facing language barriers. Many of them are new to the country and adjusting to a new language and culture. They bring unique perspectives, experiences, and stories that deserve to be shared. However, writing in English can be challenging for them, and having access to technology will empower them to communicate more effectively and confidently. By supporting this project, you are giving my students the tools they need to succeed in their language learning journey.
