Many of my grade 3 students come from diverse linguistic backgrounds and are in the process of acquiring English as a new language. While they are enthusiastic learners, language barriers can pose significant challenges in the classroom. One of the most effective ways to address this is through immersive language experiences. My aim is to provide each ESL student with their own set of headphones. These headphones will empower my students to improve their English language skills more effectively.
These headphones will be used for various language learning activities, including listening to audio books, engaging with language learning apps, and practicing pronunciation.
Having individual headphones will allow students to focus on their tasks, without distractions, and will create a more immersive learning environment. This project will not only boost their confidence in speaking and understanding English but also positively impact their academic performance across all subjects.
My students are a vibrant and diverse group, representing various cultural backgrounds. They bring unique perspectives and experiences to our classroom. Despite the language barriers they face, they are eager learners who show immense potential.
