it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my fourth-grade classroom, I am privileged to teach a group of remarkable English language learners (ELLs) who have recently arrived in our country. These students are eager to learn and integrate into their new community but face significant language barriers that can hinder their progress and sense of belonging. To support their transition and academic growth, I am seeking funding for two translation devices and tape recorders.
Equipping my students with translation devices is essential for fostering effective communication and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
These devices will bridge the gap between their native languages and English, enabling them to interact confidently with their peers and participate more fully in class activities. Additionally, tape recorders will be instrumental in helping my students practice speaking and listening in English. By recording their speech and playing it back, they can identify areas for improvement, track their progress, and gain confidence in their language abilities.
These young learners are motivated and hardworking. They have a genuine desire to connect with their classmates and become integral members of our school community. Your generous donation will give them the tools to overcome language barriers and thrive in their educational journey.
