Empowering Education Through Headphones and Video

My Project

Our students were directly effected by COVID-19 with the increased use of technology and awareness of hygiene. We would like to keep that knowledge going and increase the knowledge they already have. To do this, students require the use of headphones on their computer. I see all 530 students in our school and for sanitary reasons, they all need their own headphones. We use these headphones for English language learners to translate text and for special needs students enhance their learning opportunities in technology. Headphones enable students to learn in various environments such as classrooms, libraries, and the technology lab without disturbing others. Headphones also help when we are working on building multimedia projects and they require the students to insert audio. A video camera is necessary in a technology lab to record student projects, for students to create video and to give them real world opportunities. Last year I had a special needs student create a racetrack and then show how to drive the robot through the racetrack. I would have loved to record this and show his parents and classroom teacher to increase his confidence. Headphones and video equipment would help my students continue to be interactive with their technology.
