This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today's rapidly advancing world, technology plays a pivotal role in shaping the way students learn and engage with educational content.

I am hoping to add an iPad and Yoto cards to our classroom to integrate more technology.

These items will be used to help my struggling readers during independent activities. During their independent reading time, I would love to give them access to reading materials and further develop language and comprehension skills. A classroom iPad would allow my students to access alternative reading programs. The Yoto cards will allow struggling readers to listen to fluent readers. Part of the fun of listening to a story is the wonder and magic the reader brings to the performance. Stories come to life when read aloud, and as listeners, we can see the characters and situations in new ways. You can describe fluency all you want, but nothing illustrates the concept more vividly than the animation a professional narrator brings to an audio recording.

Hopefully incorporating technology will keep my students actively engaged, enable personalized learning experiences, provide interactive lessons, and support collaborative projects.

In addition, I've added various classroom basics like pens, colored pencils, a digital clock, fun light, and a pencil sharpener to help the class run smoothly.
