Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a speech therapist working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, I have witnessed firsthand the power of visual supports in facilitating effective communication and learning. My students thrive when they are provided with resources that cater to their unique learning needs, and visual aids such as visual schedules, graphic organizers, and interactive worksheets make a significant difference in their educational journey.
In order to provide my students with the most effective and engaging resources, I am requesting gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers.
Teachers Pay Teachers is an invaluable platform where educators share high-quality, research-based teaching materials that are tailored to different learning styles and needs. Through these resources, I aim to create a more inclusive and effective learning environment that supports my DHH students in reaching their full potential.
The resources I plan to purchase include- Visual supports like schedules, communication boards, and charts that will help my students better understand classroom routines and expectations. As well as interactive materials to engage students in speech therapy lessons that incorporate both language and visual cues. In addition to differentiated lesson plans that accommodate the wide range of communication needs and learning levels within my classroom.
With the help of these materials, I will be able to better support my students’ language development, communication skills, and overall learning experience.
