Empowering Creativity Through Embroidery

My Project

We seek funding to purchase an embroidery machine and supplies for our eighth grade students.

My students are part of an applied innovations program in an alternative setting.

This initiative aims to foster creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and teamwork by enabling students to create embroidered items for a class store. The project will provide hands-on learning experiences and help students develop valuable skills.

We will conduct monthly workshops to teach students how to use the embroidery machine and create designs. We will guide students in designing and creating embroidered items such as patches, bags, and clothing. We will involve students in setting up and managing the class store, including pricing, marketing, and sales and encourage students to reflect on their experiences and evaluate the success of the project.

Proceeds from the sale of items will be used for supplies as well as funding field trips and needed supplies for future students of our program.
